Ted Stilles is an American born blues guitarist from Montclair, NJ who was a part of the New York City blues scene in the early ‘70s. His first blues recordings were for the Spivey Records label. He has performed with such blues legends as Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, and Johnny Winter. In the ‘80s he recorded two solo albums on the Telewbar Records label that explored guitar sounds heavily influenced by the emerging digital technology. After spending time on the road with a variety of artists from Stacy Lattisaw and Gloria Gaynor, to Young and Company, and the Buddy Hank Band to name a few, he has returned to the studio to continue telling his story. He spent the summer of 2011 travelling across Canada from Quebec to British Columbia and back, writing material for his new project, “Inuksuk”. There’s a passion and subtlety to his playing that connects with audiences large and small.
